Benasuza

Benasuza, born Zuzana Miková, is a Czech singer and songwriter whose musical path connects the Czech Republic, Switzerland, and international stages across Europe.

Her career spans original songwriting, pop-rock projects, jazz performances, and large-scale symphonic rock productions. One of the major highlights of her journey is Rock The Opera, a project by German conductor Friedemann Riehle, which brings legendary rock songs together with a symphony orchestra.

With Rock The Opera, Benasuza has performed in prestigious European venues such as the Vienna State Opera, the Odeon of Herodes Atticus in Athens, and many others. She has shared the stage with acclaimed rock voices including Jeff Scott Soto and Ronnie Romero, while the project has also featured legends such as Ian Gillan, Joe Lynn Turner, and Alannah Myles.

Earlier in her career, she received recognition in several Czech vocal and songwriting competitions and also briefly appeared on the jazz scene, performing alongside respected Czech jazz musician Antonín Gondolán at Prague’s famous Reduta Jazz Club. She also supported Chris Norman on the Czech part of his The Hits Tour 2012, where she presented her debut album Tisíce tváří with the all-female band The Apples.

She is currently working on new music in collaboration with British producers Paul Sutin and Pears MacIntyre from London’s legendary Abbey Road Studios.
